Then. Now. Always.

Then. Now. Always.

Pride is a moment. Solidarity is a movement. For 20 years, Rainbow Railroad has helped LGBTQI+ people escape danger and get to safety.

People at a Pride event standing underneath a large Pride flag holding up handheld Pride flags and signs 'Pride against injustice' while smiling.

Pride started as a protest. So did we.

In 2006, a small group of activists began helping LGBTQI+ people flee violence and persecution.

Today, that small group is a global movement. We have supported nearly 50,000 people through relocation, crisis response, and cash assistance.

Every Pride flag flown freely somewhere in the world is a destination for someone who can't fly one at home.

More than ever.

More people than ever are reaching out for help. Pride is a moment. Solidarity is a movement. For 20 years, Rainbow Railroad has helped LGBTQI+ people escape danger and get to safety.

Every 26 minutes, an LGBTQI+ person reaches out to us for help.

Tyria Pride.

An annual virtual Pride march inside the video game Guild Wars 2, and this June marks its 10th year. Players join from countries where being LGBTQI+ is still criminalized. For some, it's their first Pride.

Jumana

Meet Jumana.

Jumana, a trans woman from Egypt, reached out to us in 2019. Living openly in her country could have cost her life. In 2023, with our Emergency Travel Support, she relocated to Germany. Today she says she feels "safe and free."

"When I passed through border control, it was a moment I can't forget for the rest of my life. It was like a dream for me."

Read her story.

Then. Now. Always.

Two decades ago, we were built by communities who refused to be silent. This Pride, that work continues, with you.
