About Siu Mee Cheng
Siu Mee (she/her) possesses several decades of leadership experience in the health and social services sectors and governments supporting vulnerable populations, including women, Indigenous, racialized and 2SLGBQTIA+ community members, refugees and newcomers, older adults, low-income individuals, individuals with mental health and addictions and the homeless, to name a few.
She has held leadership positions in several not-for-profits at the local, provincial and pan-Canadian levels that have focused on shelter services, women's services, supportive care housing, training and supports, food insecurity, healthcare, mental health and addictions, public health, cancer control and palliative care. She is dedicated to advancing social justice through leadership, advocacy, research and volunteerism.
Siu Mee has a PhD (Toronto Metropolitan University), and is a Certified Health Executive Member with the Canadian College of Health Leaders. She teaches at TMU, and is a board director with Addictions and Mental Health Ontario. She is also engaged in research on integrated health and social care and diversity, equity and inclusion.
