Programs Officer, Intake
She/They
Sindi is a community caregiver, compassionate mentor, and intersectional storyteller; they are dedicated to supporting and providing care for the community that is not “one size fits all.” As a queer, first-generation immigrant, Sindi is grateful to be a part of the support systems that Rainbow Railroad fosters. She strongly believes that care is built by the collective.
Currently, she is completing her Social Service Worker diploma and dedicated to care work in the 2SLGBTQ+ community through her time with The 519, Apathy is Boring, Climate Justice Toronto, and Girls E-Mentorship. She is particularly experienced in youth and peer mentorship, facilitation, research analysis, community engagement and referrals, and crisis intervention.
Beyond their work, Sindi enjoys reading queer fiction, performing poetry at local open mics, biking their favourite trails in the city, and spending time with their sisters.
