Sarah (Senna) Seniuk, they/them; MA, BA
Sarah is an advocate and coalition builder based on the West Coast, with a passion for liberatory organizing.
They join Rainbow Railroad most recently from Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) where they served as Director of Advocacy and Communications. While at RCUSA, Sarah supported the expansion of RCUSA’s membership, and led the coalition’s equity initiatives including launching the Antiracism Working Group, creating frameworks for equitable coalition responses, and introducing the organization’s work on LGBTQI+ migrant issues. Sarah spearheaded the coalition’s marquee advocacy convenings, and co-created Prior to joining the RCUSA team, Sarah worked as Program Associate for Muslim Advocates, where they utilized their advocacy, community organizing, and research skills to help combat anti-Muslim bigotry.
Sarah earned an interdisciplinary Masters of Arts in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs with a focus on human rights and social justice from American University. They have a Bachelors of Arts from Eckerd College in Ancient Studies, with focuses on Anthropology and Religious Studies.
In their free time, Sarah enjoys crocheting, zine making, tatreez, and an ever expanding list of hobbies.
