Michael joined Rainbow Railroad in December of 2021 as our Sr. Development Officer, Major Gifts. While his primary responsibilities are to help lead our individual donor work in the US, he also supports a variety of other fundraising activities in the US and Canada. Michael has a lengthy background in fundraising including working at some of the most respected LGBTQI+ organizations in the US: AIDS Action Committee (Boston), PFLAG (national, DC), National AIDS Fund (national, DC) and the Center on Halsted (Chicago). Michael is a native of small-town America, a graduate of Kansas State University and currently lives in Chicago with his partner Tim and their dog, Frankie. He also supports his alma mater by serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Dean’s Advisory Council, College of Arts and Sciences, at Kansas State University.
When not working to raise awareness and funds in support of organizations he holds dear, Michael might be found enjoying a museum, some random college sporting event or looking for that next great adventure down a country road somewhere in the States.
