Abby joined the Rainbow Railroad team in December 2021 as a Program Officer.
She is an East Coast raised, Toronto trained Social Worker/Therapist. She holds a Masters of Social Work from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Mental Health and Community Development as well as a BA in Sociology from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
They come to Rainbow Railroad with 7+ years experience as a community social worker supporting refugee/newcomer and LQBTQI+ communities in Toronto through individual/group therapy, case management, advocacy, program development and facilitation. Abby is honored to work within a team of passionate and compassionate people advocating for the rights of the global LGBTQI+ community and supporting LGBTQI+ individuals along their path to a safer life.
Outside of Rainbow Railroad Abby enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, and tinkering.
